Born in Lunteren, in the heart of the Netherlands, Rob grew up in a family with two children. He started riding horses about 30 years ago. At his 16th he bought his first horse together with his parents. For over more than 20 years Rob is involved in presenting horses on horse shows and present in the vaulting world. Rob studied in Arnhem at the HEAO, direction EL (international businesses.) He worked from his 24th at an insurance company, did some modeling work, worked at a banking company and together with Bjorn, his favorite brother, at their plastic distribution company. After some years of working as a product manager at a software company in Amsterdam, Rob decided to choose for a new adventure. Since 2004 he lives in Normandy (France), where he has managed a horse farm of 10 hectares near Deauville: Haras de la Bouteillerie. Mid 2014 Rob will open his own farm: Haras du Houley in Moyaux.
Rob breeds KWPN- and friesian horses. He breaks young horses, prepares them for horse shows or equestrian shows. Next to that Rob offers traineeships for people interested in the equestrian world and for vaulters. In 2012 and 2013 De Bruin helped out at a theater show in the Efteling in the Netherlands.
